Mission
BBIS is an inclusive school committed to inspiring students in pursuit of lifelong learning. Building bridges among cultures, we celebrate diversity in a caring, internationally-minded community. We empower young learners to fulfil their unique potential as we guide them to become responsible, compassionate global citizens.
Philosophy
The curriculum provides both academic stimulation and a wide variety of educational experiences beyond the classroom. We are committed to teaching the International Baccalaureate programme from Early Childhood to grade 12. Our educational practices flow from this integrated, inquiry-based programme.
Diversity is essential to our mission. According to the principles stated in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, people of all races, nations, and religions should respect and honour each other. We teach our students to understand and respect the views, values, and traditions of other individuals and cultures as well as their own.
Care and compassion should be characteristic of all relationships within the school community. Learning takes place best in an environment that promotes care and concern for the welfare of others.
All members of the school community are encouraged to pursue excellence and are recognized for their achievements.
All people within the school community - staff, parents, administration, and supervisory board - continue to learn alongside the students we teach.
Students develop both intellectual and social skills in order to become critical and creative thinkers, achieve their personal best, and mature into responsible adults."
