Stipendien für Auslandssemester von College Contact

Wer ein Auslandssemester plant, kann finanzielle Unterstützung oft gut gebrauchen. Aus diesem Grund vergibt College Contact ab sofort Stipendien für Semesteraufenthalte an Studierende.
Insgesamt zehn Teilstipendien in Höhe von jeweils EUR 1.000 werden jedes Jahr an Studierende vergeben, die mithilfe von College Contact ein Semester als „Free Mover“ im Ausland verbringen.
Die Vergabe der Stipendien erfolgt fachgebunden. Derzeit können sich Studierende für die folgenden Semesterstipendien bewerben:

• College-Contact-Semesterstipendien für Ingenieurwissenschaften
• College-Contact-Semesterstipendien für Kunst und Design
• College-Contact-Semesterstipendien für Naturwissenschaften
• College-Contact-Semesterstipendien für Sprach- und Kulturwissenschaften
• College-Contact-Semesterstipendien für Wirtschaftswissenschaften

Für jede Fachrichtung stehen pro Jahr zwei Stipendien zur Verfügung. Die Stipendien stehen allen Studierenden offen, die sich über die Vermittlungsorganisation erfolgreich an einer College Contact-Partnerhochschule beworben haben. Außerdem ist es erforderlich, dass Bewerber an einer Universität oder (Fach-)Hochschule mit Sitz in Deutschland, der Schweiz, Österreich oder den Niederlanden immatrikuliert sind. Der Bachelor- oder Masterstudiengang muss einer der fünf Fachrichtungen entstammen.

Noten oder soziale Kriterien spielen bei der Auswahl der Stipendiaten keine Rolle. Stattdessen kommt es auf die persönliche und fachliche Motivation der Bewerber an.

EU Business School hosted the Swiss Economic Forum kick-off Romandie event in Yvorne

On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, EU Business School (EU) hosted a preliminary Swiss Economic Forum kick-off event catered to the business leaders of the Romandie region, the French-speaking part of Switzerland, at their executive center, Château Maison Blanche, in the town of Yvorne. The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) is Switzerland’s leading business conference that brings together some 1,350 CEOs and key business people. This year’s event will take place on June 4th and 5th, with the theme: Simplify – Mastering Complexity.

Distinguished members of the business, political and economic arenas who gathered at the Château Maison Blanche included former Swiss presidents, Dr. Adolf Ogi and Pascal Couchepin, and the economy ministers of the Vaud and Jura cantons, Philippe Leuba and Michel Probst. Prestigious members of the business world such as Urs Schäppi, CEO of Swisscom, Sevrin Moser, CEO of Allianz, Elmar Mock, CEO of Creaholics, Andréa Scherz, owner of Gstaad Palace Hotel, and Mike Vogt, owner of Vogard Worldtime S.A., also accepted the invitation. SEF was represented by Managing Director, Dominik Isler, and co-founders and co-CEOs, Stefan Linder and Peter Stähli.

Following a welcome cocktail, the event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Dirk Craen, President of EU Business School, Philippe Gex, Mayor of Yvorne, and Pierre Keller, President of the Office des Vins Vaudois. This was followed by a presentation of SEF by Dr. Adolf Ogi, Etienne Jornod, Chairman of Galenica AG/NZZ Media Group, and members of the organization. A standing cocktail dinner then gave guests the opportunity to network while enjoying the fine wine and Swiss delicacies on offer.

The aim of the SEF Romandie event was to bring together important members of the business community, create ambassadors to represent the Swiss Economic Forum and discuss both existing and potential synergies between French- and German-speaking Switzerland.
